Marion Cotillard is to appear in the next `Batman` movie
The `La Vie En Rose` star is set to appear in `The Dark Knight Rises` - which is being directed by `Inception` filmmaker Chris Nolan - alongside Christian Bale, who returns for the third time as the caped crusader, and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman.
French newspaper Le Fiagro revealed: "Marion Cotillard will join the production this summer in Los Angeles, where she will share the bill with Anne Hathaway."
According to the report, Marion - who is due to give birth to her first child with Guillaume Canet in May - is scaling back her future projects to focus on motherhood.
The publication wrote: "The actress, who is expecting a child in the spring with Guillaume Canet, will be scarce this year. She`ll do a single film and her choice fell on Batman 3."
Though Marion`s casting hasn`t officially been confirmed, it is expected she will play Talia al Ghul, the daughter of Ra`s al Ghul - played by Liam Neeson in `Batman Begins` - and a love interest to Bruce Wayne, Batman`s alter ego.
Filming on `The Dark Knight Rises` is due to begin soon, with a projected release date of June 2012.
